About the Project

  • Electric Living, a pioneering electro-agriculture business based in New York, specializes in cultivating plant medicine, particularly mushrooms, using innovative technology. They produce mushroom powders, tinctures, and teas, catering to health-conscious millennials aiming to integrate natural remedies into their daily routines. Embracing the ethos of healing through the mycelial network, Electric Living sought to establish a brand identity that embodies sustainability, health, and innovation.

  • Electric Living approached us to develop their branding, packaging, and website design from scratch. They needed a cohesive visual identity that resonated with their target audience while effectively conveying their mission and values. The challenge was to create a brand that not only stood out in the competitive market but also reflected the essence of their unique electro-agriculture approach.

  • Our approach began with a comprehensive Discovery Phase spanning two weeks. We collaborated closely with Electric Living to define their mission, message, attitude, and target demographic. This phase laid the groundwork for our subsequent design process, ensuring alignment with the core principles of the brand.

    Moving into the Design Phase, we crafted stylescapes—highly specific mood boards—to capture the desired aesthetic vibe. These stylescapes served as visual references, guiding the development of the brand identity. With the finalized stylescape in hand, we proceeded to create the logo system and information architecture for their product site, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.

    Throughout the design process, we implemented "Rounds of Revision," allowing the clients to provide feedback and maintain alignment with the initial vision established during the Discovery Phase. This iterative approach ensured that the final deliverables accurately reflected Electric Living's brand identity and values.

    In the Delivery Phase, Electric Living received a comprehensive set of brand assets, including business cards, a website, and a logo. Additionally, they were equipped with a detailed 60+ page Style Guide outlining their mission, brand guidelines, and illustrative elements. Custom dielines for every product SKU were provided, facilitating efficient packaging production and maintaining brand consistency.

  • With their new brand identity in place, Electric Living emerged as a recognizable and iconic presence in the market. The cohesive visual identity conveyed their commitment to sustainability, innovation, and holistic health, resonating with their target audience of health-conscious millennials. The functional website streamlined the purchasing process for customers, while the comprehensive Style Guide provided a blueprint for maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.

    Today, Electric Living stands as a testament to the power of strategic design in building a distinctive and impactful brand.
